Volume 1 - Base Design

The Zurich Collection, Volume 1, Base Design is the original design concept.

By deft manipulation of color and elements, I have produced art that encourages reflection, peace, passion, prosperity and inspiration. The works offers distinctive imagery and color combinations, which connect on the viewer’s emotional level. This reaffirms that the power of color and imagery are still an essential part of our modern world.

All works in the collection are based upon one photograph of a modern sculpture in Zurich, Switzerland. This sculpture had a natural texture, aged by time and nature. I seized upon one element within the image, which provided the powerful patterns, textures and tones. Though, some images are enhanced by tonal shifts in color, each work is unique unto itself. Yet, it is consistent with the theme of the original concept.

The textures and patterns are, at a glance, readily distinguishable, visually enticing and draw the viewer into the work. Volume 1’s modern style is defined by blending the energy of color with the elegance of composition.
